Home Visits

Doctor's bag

If you are unable to come to the surgery please telephone reception. The receptionist will take your details and you will be called back by one of our triage nurses. You should call the surgery as early as possible when requesting a home visit.

The triage nurse responds to requests for home visits as she has the knowledge that a receptionist does not have to prioritise which visits need more urgent attention.

This ensures the most appropriate treatment at the most appropriate time, to the benefit of patients and doctors.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
